Continuing our series of looks at family dynamics in the Star Wars movies, on the days where the episode numbers coincide with the years of their release dates! As you might guess, Return of the Jedi is going under the microscope today, and things get really awkward at moments in the movie.
Not only that, but there's also some familial connections that *don't* get made during the course of the movie, and one beautiful one that seems to have happened off screen at some point. And there's about a half hour of Return of the Jedi where, based solely on what we know from the movies, the audience can logically believe that in A New Hope, Princess Leia was coming to Tatooine to get Obi-Wan and deliver him to Darth Vader. Punch it!
